This introductory class at the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center will teach your little one the fundamental gymnastic skills, in a safe and caring environment. Your child will learn basic skills such as coordination, balance, jumping, strength, and discipline. This is a great opportunity for you and your child to socialize in an active and fun setting. Sessions run monthly.

Private lessons are tailored to your style and interests. Maybe you want to hone a strength of your game, work on a weakness, or learn a new technique? Or perhaps you’re new to tennis and want to learn the basics. Either way, teaching pro Joshua Parmenter will help you work toward your goals in a low-stress, individualized 50-minute session. Want to learn to jam music for fun? Break out your guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro, bass or fiddle and learn to play. This course will introduce the beginner to fundamentals of your instrument and teach applied music theory to play songs. Any age and skill level on any of these instruments are welcome. The course will focus on your individual interest and skill level to get you playing the music you want to play. Most importantly, learn to have fun with music! Don’t have an instrument but want to learn, that’s okay!

Discover Snorkeling is simple, fun, inexpensive, has no age barriers and can be experienced nearly anywhere. A Y-kiki Divers staff member will spend an hour or so with you reviewing what you can expect to see, the importance of properly fitting a mask, making the right fin choice, and going over the differences between snorkels. We’ll offer tips and demonstrate techniques. A Discover Snorkeling experience will ensure you get the most out of your snorkeling adventures! Available for purchase is PADI’s video and guide, “Discover the Underwater World” - a great resource for snorkelers of all levels.

This interactive program familiarizes kids with professionals in the fire, police, med-evac fields and teaches them steps to stay safe in many situations. There is a different activity every day from exploring an Arch Helicopter, presentation from police officers and much more! This event is included in the fee for week five of our summer camp, and we invite the community to come in and join! Check back for a schedule of events each day.
