Children's Programs


Come meet Rob Sulkowski, the Ste. Genevieve County Conservation Agent, and learn about bees! Rob is going to bring an observation hive to let kids watch a frame of bees work. He will discuss how bees make honey and how people can extract the honey to keep. He will also bring the tools people use to extract the honey. The kids will leave this class with a newfound knowledge of bees and how they work!

Ages: 5 - 12

The Punt, Pass & Kick (PPK) program is a national skills competition for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15 to compete separately against their peers. Girls and boys in five separate age divisions (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 & 14-15) compete against each other in punting, passing & place kicking in a fun and engaging forum. Copy of a birth certificate will need to be provided by all winners.

Date: September 13 (Rain out date of September 20)

Time: Registration starts at 3:15 pm on Challenger Field. Competition will start at 4:00 pm.

Fee: FREE

Due to changes this competition will be a local event only.

Private lessons are tailored to your style and interests. Maybe you want to hone a strength of your game, work on a weakness, or learn a new technique? Or perhaps you’re new to tennis and want to learn the basics. Either way, teaching pro Joshua Parmenter will help you work toward your goals in a low-stress, individualized 50-minute session. Youth Archery

A traditional archery class designed for kids ages 7-12 taught by Jim Pyles. Jim has years of teaching experience and is owner of JP Enterprises Traditional Archery. This is a great class for kids who might be future bow hunters. Participants will need to have an arm guard & glove (may be purchased on the first day of class).
