The Ste. Genevieve County Community Center is a state-of-the-art facility created by the people of Ste. Genevieve County. Opened on February 12, 2000, the 52,217 square-foot complex includes spaces designed for social, recreational, and cultural uses, including meetings rooms, a leisure-style swimming pool, gymnasium, aerobics/dance room, cardiovascular and weight equipment, elevated walking track (1/10 mile round), and a Spinning room. The Community Center is also home to the local branch of Ste. Genevieve County Library.

An important element of the Community Center is its unique design. Local residents felt strongly that the architecture should reflect the style of this historic community. Architects incorporated a number of “visual signatures” from the surrounding community into the design, such as the galleries, red roofs, and Creole-style rooflines on the front of the two wings of the building. Overall the design, right down to the sidewalks, calls to mind a town square-complete with clock tower.
