This introductory class at the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center will teach your little one the fundamental gymnastic skills, in a safe and caring environment. Your child will learn basic skills such as coordination, balance, jumping, strength, and discipline. This is a great opportunity for you and your child to socialize in an active and fun setting. Private lessons are tailored to your style and interests. Maybe you want to hone a strength of your game, work on a weakness, or learn a new technique? Or perhaps you’re new to tennis and want to learn the basics. Either way, teaching pro Joshua Parmenter will help you work toward your goals in a low-stress, individualized 50-minute session. Martial Arts is for individuals five years of age and older. Students benefit from a good workout with a focus on mental and physical concentration, respect for self and others plus the added benefit of knowing how to protect themselves. Opportunities are available for competition.

Holiday Camp is all the fun of our Summer Day Camp, but without the heat. Holiday Camp, which takes place during holiday break, is a place for kids (Grades K-8) to enjoy sports, crafts, swimming and more with our camp counselors.
Please sign up no later than one week prior to the start of camp so we can optimize your child’s experience. Camp will be cancelled in the event of low enrollment.

School’s Out for the day and you have nothing to do? Hang out at the SGCCC on days school is scheduled to be out! We have tons of supervised activities such as swimming, games, crafts and more. Bring a sack lunch, snacks, bathing suit and towel.

A traditional archery class designed for kids ages 7-12 taught by Jim Pyles. Jim has years of teaching experience and is owner of JP Enterprises Traditional Archery. This is a great class for kids who might be future bow hunters. Participants will need to have an arm guard & glove (may be purchased on the first day of class).

Come meet Rob Sulkowski, the Ste. Genevieve County Conservation Agent, and learn about snakes! Rob will bring different species of snakes and let the kids feel their scales. He will discuss the difference between the snakes, as well as the difference between venomous and non venomous snakes. The kids will leave with both new knowledge and respect for snakes!

This six week beginning soccer program is designed for children ages 4-5. It teaches the basic soccer skills as dribbling, kicking, positions, & basic rules. There will be two weeks of practice followed by four weeks of games. Shin guards, tennis shoes & level 3 soccer ball required. A T-shirt will be provided to all participants. Registration ends January 11. Games will be played in the Progress Sports Complex. Volunteer coaches needed!!
